US airlines ban hundreds of passengers for not wearing masks

Nearly 1000 people have been added to no-fly lists so far. 

The List

  • Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and Alaskan airlines have each added hundreds of passengers to their no-fly lists in recent months. 
  • In June, major US airlines stated they would begin banning on passengers from future flights for not wearing masks. 
  • The number of passengers added to no-fly lists has risen sharply since August. 
  • It is unclear whether the passenger bans are permanent or temporary. 
  • The airline industry has been one of the hardest hit by the pandemic. 
  • Experts believe air travel will not return to normal until 2024.
